WRITING

I write short fiction and non-fiction and I am looking for a home for my collection of short stories.
I have been shortlisted and longlisted for a number of literary awards.

I was the lucky winner of a place on the Paul McVeigh West Cork Writing Residency 2026.
I am the grateful recipient of a grant from the Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial Trust.

A thwarted gay romance takes place against the backdrop of ‘the greatest night in showbiz history’ – Judy Garland live at Carnegie Hall – a melancholic tale of a path not taken. 
Published in Transactions of Desire anthology (Cornerhouse). Re-published in Best British Short Stories (Salt).

three sailors

Magical realist fantasy informed by maritime literature and inspired by medical evidence of sailors with HIV in the 1940s.
Published in a Lambda-nominated issue of Foglifter.
Longlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award.

stars

The dual concepts of the doppelgänger as a portent of doom and the 1970s gay clone are merged in the final San Francisco summer before AIDS.
