Festival Director, GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival, Dublin, 2022–2025.
I proudly held the role of Festival Director of GAZE, Ireland’s International LGBTQIA Film Festival in Dublin, overseeing four festival outings. During my directorship the festival celebrated its 30th birthday, affirmed its position as Ireland’s longest running queer arts event, and re-established itself post-pandemic as a much celebrated key fixture in Dublin’s cultural calendar.
Highlights of my tenure include:
· A GALA Award nomination for LGBTQ Event of the Year.
· Serving on the International Jury for the Iris Prize.
· Screening films from 42 countries.
· Bringing international cinema talent to the festival including Andrew Haigh, Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Felix Maritaud, Peaches, Dominic Savage, and Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor.
· Curating a gallery collection of shorts alongside the cinema programme.
· Supporting new and emerging festivals including Queer Spectrum Film Festival, TITE, and Red Umbrella Festival.
